Winnipeg, MB – At the end of January, Shrugging Doctor Beverage Company celebrates its second year in business. They continue to produce Wines, Ciders and Meads – including two Grape Wines made from Manitoba Grown Grapes.
Shrugging Doctor takes pride in being the most innovative liquor producer in the province. Pioneering systems like their 1 Hour Home Delivery Service, Online Ordering, Growing Wine Grapes in Manitoba, and even started accepting Bitcoin as payment earlier this year.
Shrugging Doctor was founded and is currently run by a duo of 22 year olds who often explain that the operation was started on only $50 – which makes the milestone of $200,000 lifetime sales even that more impressive.
“We wrote the business plan when we were 18 years old with literally no money.” Said Willows Christopher, Co-Founder and Head of Sales. “Hitting two years in business (I’m told) is a milestone that not many entrepreneurs get to experience. We couldn’t have done it without all our loyal customers.”
Six of their products can now be found on Liquor Mart shelves all across Manitoba, and they continue to release exclusive seasonal wines like Strawberry Rhubarb and Saskatoon.
Shrugging Doctor expanded twice in 2018 and expects to continue expanding to meet demand.
