We are so excited to share our first ever Vineyard Tour!
Shrugging Doctor Beverage Company, a Winery founded in 2017 and based in Winnipeg, has been growing grapes in Southern Manitoba’s “Pembina Valley” for almost 7 years. Because it is a working farm, we have never had a public tour before… well before now!
Ticket holders will meet us at our Winery in Sunny St. James in Winnipeg, where we have rented a comfortable greyhound style bus. We will travel down to the Vineyard (around 1.5 hour trip) together.
When we reach the vineyard you will be showed around the vines of our 10+ grape varitials, and master winemaker Zach Isaacs will give his story on the journey of horitculture and winemaking in Manitoba’s harsh winters. (You might even be able to taste some of the grapes!)
Throughout the tour, small samples of different wines will be provided, all made from Manitoba grown ingridients.
We will end the tour with a little barebeque (vegetarian options available) while we share stories and answer questions, enjoying the wonderous nature of Manitoba’s Pembina Valley.
When we return by bus back to the Winery in Winnipeg, ticket holders will be able to purchase sealed bottles of wine from our tasting room, as well as some first access to some seasonal products not yet released to the public.
We will be hosting this tour the week before grape harvest to insure that the grapes are the biggest, best and tastiest they could possible be.

Gather Time: 8am-9am
Bus Departs: 9:30am
Vineyard arrival: 11am-11:30am.
Tour and tastings: 12pm-1:30pm
Food and Q&A: 2pm-3pm
Depart: Before 4pm
Event will be rain or shine unless there’s a thunderstorm. In which case we’ve planned Saturday September 9th as a rain day.
